My First Visit into the New World, Post Lockdown

After three long months, I was going out into the new world with the hope that I would see unfamiliar faces

Lockdown had made me reach a saturation point staring at the familiar faces and unvarying house spaces

For the first time in my experience, the human race was all covered in varied masks and all one could see was distressed eyes and frowning foreheads

No one wanted to see or talk to another soul seeming like we are no more the social creatures rather have become zombies woken up from their beds

In a glance I realised that we have normalised untouchability as we are treating every other human as untouchable without discrimination

Irrespective of caste, creed, race or gender it felt like everyone is under the brunt of this pandemic as a whole nation

I would be lying if I don’t mention how terrified I felt, at first, on seeing every human on the road feeling so vulnerable and helpless

Human who was once so carefree to the extent of becoming careless has now turned so meek and powerless

There were countless number of disappointments when I stepped out but guess whom I saw smiling right at me

It was the nature that was swinging in its own rhythm and harmony with full mirth and glee

This was the first sign of relief amidst the deserted roads and perplexed human creatures with their distorted feelings

Then is when I realised, If one of nature’s element is undergoing pain, the other elements are certainly healing

I believe this is what we call the Balance of life and how ‘what goes comes around’ theory works

Let’s give nature some time to replenish and let the other creatures give humans some smirks
