The Omniscient God

A poem I wrote when I was preparing for my 10th Board exams. I remember sitting at my balcony and looking at the Eucalyptus tree right in front my eyesight that made me ponder about all the gifts of nature we have and how more-often-than-not we tend to remain disinterested about them

Today let me pen down my feelings on this virtual paper,

because thoughts are fragile and can vanish within seconds like vapours

In this not-so-real world, everyone is running after money, name and fame,

they all think achieving this is their life’s only game

Let it be a play for them but in this race they are forgetting the one,

who made them who they are, spreading smiles on their withered faces worth gold of tones

God, our ultimate saviour nurture our day and light,

he/she moves with us hand in hand with full delight

God has send us to this world to attain courage, patience and goodwill,

but seeing all of all just doing the counter has even left him/her still

He/She has to content in vain on watching us neglecting his/her principles,

we have surely polluted this earth and our minds instead of making them supple

But I made a friend who by God’s grace stood to his/her words,

Fulfilling the necessities of humans and giving shelter to the birds

He was amicable and valiant; full of courtesy,

Resembling God who helped even the atheists with all his mercy

My dear friend stood strong in all inclement weathers,

Seeking to help all those be it with hands, trunks or feathers

Curious to know who my friend was,

who stood strong as a rock for all cause

In front of my house he lay,

It appeared to me as if all day he prays

He was a tree,

caring nothing for the strains he had to bore rather who just intended to be free

Like the tree, we all should understand God’s message,

Instead of getting absorbed in the world possessions and making our lives a wreckage

Our life is not just ours, it surely deserves to be engrossed towards helping others

Leading a selfish life is no less than letting yourself get smothered

God, who is omniscient and omnipresent,

who wants you to take charge from today itself as it is ‘present’ !
